S.Andrew's celebrates 75 years

This year we are celebrating 75 years since the new S.Andrew's was Dedicated on this site. Opened in 1847, S.Andrew's Wells Street in London's West End was saved from demolition and moved to Kingsbury. The photo shows the orriginal church in Wells street, London. Clich here to read more.

S. Andrew's is an Anglican Parish Church in Greater London whose worship is in the catholic tradition - a family of faith with Eucharistic Worship at its centre. There is a Sung Mass on Sunday at 10.00 a.m. A building with a fascinating history - built in Wells Street in the West End of London a few hundred yards from Oxford Circus - opened 1847 - moved stone by stone to Kingsbury 1931-4 - has many features by the most famous Victorian Architects and Artists (see Church Guide)The Old Church stands in a three and a half acre Graveyard - Roman bricks incorporated into 12th century building.
